The jeep was a lot of fun and well worth it! We were intending to go to the Kennedy Space Centre. It took us about 2 hours to drive there. On a previous cross-country flight, it had taken me about 30 minutes to fly to Titusville (the airfield there is called Space Coast Regional)! When we got there, we discovered that it would take us about 6 hours to do the full tour and cost $44.
We decided to give it a miss as we didn't have the time and went to the Astronaut Hall of Fame back along the road:
This was a lot cheaper and still very interesting. We had a ride in a simulator for the new X48 (or whatever) single stage to orbit thing that NASA is hoping to build which did several full barrel-rolls during the flight. Then, Tanya and Nigel had a go in a machine which spins round to give you the feeling of 4g. I decided not to bother as my stomach was still recovering from the previous ride. Tanya also had a go at ``walking on the moon'':
